What a follow up to my two drinking posts, which seemed to have a positive response, so in that direction we have me being a “fat ass” (which by the way I do not like to say but hey the truth is the truth). Drinking puts on the pounds, it is a ton of empty cals, and really worthless, anyway on with today’s blog.
Why is it that we as a nation have fallen into this gotta have it now mentality, this instant gratification, this give me a pill to make it better, why is this happening?
I will tell you why, it is because we are not accountable for our own actions, that we have been conditioned to behave this way through long term habits and the advent of technology. That back in the 60’s, (yes that long ago), when air conditioning and television and tremendous growth of all to plentiful food, along with good wages we started to get soft.
Guess what, it is time to become accountable and lead our society back down the road to taking action and getting better, it can and will happen.
Last week I wrote about selfishness and how people need us to be in better shape, fitness levels and dietary levels are appalling, and hey I have been doing it just like everyone else, but not anymore. Its time to stand up and make a decision everyone, time to be accountable to ourselves, that we have created a mess and lets clean it up. 30 percent of our country is considered obese, 30%. And yes, I was part of that 30%.
I am so sick and tired of fricking excuses, no time, no money, no energy blah blah blah, stop already and let’s get it together. It is our own fault if we are unhappy with our level of fitness, if we are overweight, if we don’t feel very good about ourselves, if we are on maintenance drugs (yes the majority of maintenance drugs are because of our level of fitness and weight issues).
It starts with each of us, you know it, and I knew it, so now it is time to do something about it.
Start out with the first step, make the decision to quit making fricking excuses and let’s change. That it can happen, I will guarantee that and I will also guarantee you will feel better about yourself and feel better, sleep better, have a better positive outlook, look better and everyone will notice the new you, plus your sex life will improve. Wow sign me up.
Let’s start today and lets own it, we are our own worst enemy and can be our own best friend, it is an individual decision, your decision, so it’s time to get down to business.
Next week I will continue this topic, and lead into why our young people need us to set examples, until then thank you for reading, and lets start feeling better about ourselves and our lives.
I want all of us to live to be a hundred!
Thank you so much for your time, and enjoy the video,

Remember our “Amazing Person”, CJ Quinney, he is the Lansing guy doing great things for youth with his Break the Cycle campaign, well he is my kind of leader, a man who we could all emulate and learn from.
