Last Wednesday, my alarm went off at 5:30 AM and I rolled over and pushed snooze. I was supposed to get up and go workout. But it was warm and cozy in bed and I was tired.
Getting up and going to ride the elliptical for an hour followed by lifting some weights did not sound good at all. My alarm went off 5 more times because I kept pushing snooze. I finally woke up at 6:10 and dragged my butt to the gym. I rode the elliptical and felt bored the whole time. Then a thought occurred to me-I do this every stinkin’ time. I get in this really good groove and I am working out early every morning, kickin ass and takin names and all of a sudden I fade away.
So I realize that if I don’t change something in my workout routine, then I will fade away from fitness yet again.
So this Wednesday, I am not waking up at 5:30 AM and I am not touching an elliptical. I have got to shake things up. I think I am going to go to the park and do a workout outside-some lunges in the grass, pull ups on the monkey bars, maybe even swing for awhile because its fun.
